Nordic PTCA emphasizes a holistic approach to coach education, integrating scientific research, practical coaching strategies, and continuous professional development. This commitment ensures that tennis coaches in the Nordic countries are well-equipped to meet the evolving demands of the sport.

PTCA Nordic, the Scandinavian group of the Professional Tennis Coaches Association, is dedicated to elevating coaching standards and fostering professional development across Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland. Based in Oslo, PTCA Nordic offers cross-certification programs, conferences, award celebrations, educational initiatives, and networking opportunities tailored to the unique needs of coaches in the Nordic region.

At the helm of PTCA Nordic is Per Fridell, a prominent figure in Scandinavian tennis. With a rich background as a former Swedish national coach and a tenure as the national coach and sports director for the Norwegian Tennis Federation from 1997 to 2006, Fridell brings extensive experience to his role. Currently, he serves as the sports director at WANG Toppidrett in Oslo, a leading institution for combining academic education with elite sports training.
