The Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA) is an independent organization founded to represent the collective voice and interests of professional tennis players globally, ensuring fairness, transparency, and player empowerment within the sport.
Co-founded by Novak Djokovic and Vasek Pospisil, the PTPA advocates for player rights across both the ATP and WTA tours, addressing issues such as prize money distribution, governance, mental health, and career sustainability.
In an effort to strengthen its support ecosystem for players, the PTPA has established an exclusive relationship with the Professional Tennis Coaches Association (PTCA). This collaboration creates a powerful alliance between players and top-level coaches, based on shared values of professionalism, ethical standards, and performance excellence. The PTCA, with its international network and recognized coach accreditation structure, is now the official and exclusive coaches' association recognized by the PTPA.
This partnership ensures that only PTCA-certified coaches are acknowledged as official coaching representatives within the PTPA framework. The alliance fosters a professional environment in which both players and coaches are supported through transparent structures, shared resources, and a commitment to continuous development. Together, the PTPA and PTCA aim to elevate the professional standards of tennis by uniting the voices of players and coaches and driving meaningful change across the sport.
