Under the leadership of Nirupama Sanjeev (née Vaidyanathan), a trailblazer in Indian women's tennis, and Rohan Bopanna, a Grand Slam champion and former world No. 1 in doubles, PTCA India aims to bridge the gap between elite playing experience and high-level coaching expertise.
Nirupama Sanjeev made history as the first Indian woman to win a Grand Slam singles match at the 1998 Australian Open . Her pioneering efforts have paved the way for future generations of female tennis players in India. Post-retirement, she has been actively involved in coaching and mentoring young talent, further contributing to the sport's growth in the country.
Rohan Bopanna, with a career spanning over two decades, has achieved significant milestones, including winning the 2017 French Open mixed doubles and the 2024 Australian Open men's doubles titles . His commitment to nurturing young talent is evident through his tennis academy, which offers world-class facilities and coaching to aspiring players .
